Our house...in the middle of our street...

Well, here's the update on the house. For a couple of weeks, the crew was unable to do anything because the trusses were backordered. When they finally came in, things really took off. They put up the framing and the plywood walls in about a day.

This is a view from the inside of the side door leading out from the kitchen. That far, teeny room is the laundry room. Hope we'll have room to put shelves in so we can have someplace to put our food storage!

Here is the living room. Jon is checking out a closet that they framed incorrectly. Luckily, they fixed the mistake the next day.

This is the view from our bedroom window. We love that there are plenty of mature trees already back there.

While we were in Idaho Falls for Justin and Karli's open house, the crew made a few additions. Sherrie and David went by and took pictures on their phone and sent them to us so we could see the progress while we were away. They put in the duct work and furnace, plumbed for A/C and put in our tubs!

After the Labor Day holiday was over, the crew installed our windows!

Here's the back. The far left window is the nursery and the far right is the master bedroom.

Last Wednesday, our contractor called and said we needed to start shingling Friday and had to be done by Saturday, September 16. It was pretty stressful trying to get all the materials together that we needed to get the roofing done, but we made pretty good progress. By the time we were finished working on Saturday last week, we had gotten most of the shingling done.

We just need to finish putting up the tar paper, install the vents and put on the rest of the shingles. Looks pretty good for a layman job, huh?

Here is another view of the living room from the entryway. We were excited to find that they had installed the insulation.

This is a view of the dining area from the kitchen.
