Alex is one year old. I can hardly believe it! Since she couldn't be there on Alex's actual birthday, Grandma Love came a few days before. She gave Alex some clothes and a Little People Zoo...
which he impatiently waited for Daddy to open...
and saw to it that he spread as much of it as he could across the floor as he did his funky low crawl...
The next morning, Alex got to spend some quality time with Grandma Love while she read him a book.
Alex had a fun birthday. A few days before, Alex learned his first word and practiced it as he turned the TV on and off and on and off (another new habit we're in the process of breaking still *sigh*).
And he got some sweet moo-la...
Mommy made a special birthday cake all by herself in the shape of a sailboat.
Mommy & Daddy helped Alex blow out his first candle...
Alex was pretty unimpressed with the creamcheese frosting covered portion of the cake we gave him at first...
but he dove right in when we gave him some with chocolate frosting! Yummy!
